Yes. But that's not even weirdest part.

Instead, Jefferson, 59, scored a decisive win largely by routing [opponent Karen] Carter in Jefferson Parish.

What? Apparently, Harry Lee was really anti-Carter, and threw his (ahem) weight behind Jefferson as a result. Here's the story.

I'm not sure I would characterize any of this is as good news for New Orleans.
