Mini Hiatus-Breaker
The hiatus is still in effect, but:
I have to pass along this tidbit from a recent Associated Press interview with Tony Bennett. The crooner (no other word for it) reveals: "My biggest influence is jazz. At the end of the Second World War, I became a librarian for the Armed Forces Network and I used to sing with this big orchestra, and the first record I ever made was 'St. James Infirmary Blues.' ...."
Oddly, I've never heard that. I'm adding it to my to-do list, post-hiatus.
