SJI In The News

Van Morrison hogs the "SJI" news roundup this week. The Kansas City Star article about him mentioned las week is reprinted in The Mercury News, and in somewhat truncated form in The Journal News (of New York State). And a concert review in the Philadelphia Inquirer said Morrison's "heart obviously belonged to oldies like the New Orleans funeral march 'St. James Infirmary.'"

And a sort of weird little writeup in The Herald (UK) on the Ediburgh Jazz Festival includes this note: "Over in George Square, the Sydney Zenith Jazz Band delighted a packed Spiegeltent with their own brand of trad, and proved that there's still life in such old warhorses as 'My Gal Sal' and 'St. James Infirmary'."
