This morning I came upon this brief, recent dispatch from the blog Pints of Drivel, about the Satchmo Fest in N.O. An excerpt:

Early this afternoon, the leader of some brass band asked the crowd, “how many of you are local?” Over half the crowd raised their hands. “Did I say local,” he said, “I meant loco. But there’s no difference, you’ve got to be crazy to be here.” The crowd went nuts. “That’s right, we’re back!” he said.

The writer goes on to mention Trombone Shorty's set, which concluded with, yes, "SJI." He also cites Letters from N.O., which is always exciting and gratifying.
